Crazy Arm

This top 5 comes straight from Crazy Arm – one of the best bands in the UK at the moment.

If you haven’t heard of them, make sure you watch their video at the bottom of the page – and if they play near you then GO.

These guys play driving cowboy-country-punk-rock with a slightly different twist. GUARANTEED to get your head nodding.

Darren (vocals) has put together the following top 5, so get your ear-holes around it.

Also, follow @top5tracks on twitter to stay up to date with new lists – we’ve got some really big acts dropping by to give their recommendations soon!

Over to Darren:

1 – Dry The River – ‘Demons’

A little bit Bon Iver, a lot wistful melancholy. What’s not to like? From their new album ‘Shallow Bed’.

2 – Apologies I Have None – ’60 Miles’

The band most likely to, and great friends of ours. From their debut album ‘London’. A melodic rock/punk tour de force.

3 – Dan Mangan – ‘Rows Of Houses’

From Canada, sweet and sour but mostly sublime. This was my favourite song of 2011.

4 – Muncie Girls – ‘Phantom Limb’

Endearing Exeter trio, and also good friends of ours. Brilliant new wave with sweet intricate guitar hooks.

5 – Pettybone – ‘Breaking Away’

Four women making a cerebral and politically-charged punk rock racket. From their debut album ‘From Desperate Times Comes Radical Minds’.
